URBAN HIKE IS THE LOVEEE ((:


basically, urban hike is like station games, except that it's around orchard. and i quite like my patrol-mazda. haha. anyway, our first stop was outside wheelock place. we were supposed to pass items like an orange, correction pen, and a frutips sweet. in PUBLIC. O.O and then to earn more points we had to do the cheer until at least 3 people turn their head. haha. yes. funnaye.


umm, after that was wisma. where we had to gel someone's hair with gatsby. haha. poor poor yenyee. x) and then we had to bring our model around and get people to sign on some paper. quite fun bahh.


then, california fitness centre. had to memorise all the buses and their destinations at the heeren bus-stop. ((: NR6,7,8-marina centre. 174 and 174e-new bridge rd ter. woot. then when we went back to the station we had to come up with a rap(?!) within 5mins. it's seriously retarded. like "hey hey you you, do you know how to go to new bridge road?" LOL. and we had to rap it so that eileen, who was standing like 10m away from us, could hear it. GAWD. x)))


OH OH. and my patrol had this really cool thing, or maybe not. but anyway, all of us had a name that ended with -ky/-key. haha. i was funky. there was monkey, donkey, dorky/doorkey, car key, whacky, lucky, etc etc. haha. so everytime we did a cheer, we will fall in and do roll call where everyone calls their names out. then we'll do our cheer. haha.


yayness. that was the fun part. oh yes, and we didnt care about being late so we went to 7-eleven to get drinks before going back to school. and it turned out that like all the other teams were equally late. haha. after that was farewell.. sad...


so, as usual, all the performances and gifts as a batch. so sad, the sec1s didnt plan anything. but nevermind, im sure we can come up with something next year! the sec2s this year did some song thing which was really quite cute and baked muffins for the sec4s. haha.


so anyway, after we were dismissed, everyone stayed back (DUH~). to exchange gifts. i think my sec3 seniors gave really cool presents to my PL and PS lurh-personalised tubes. haha. and my PL wanted to get me n vanessa a brownie each but the store was closed. so she owes us one. haha.


quite a lot of people were in tears lurh. seriously, it was damn sad can. yup. it ried to hold back my tears. but when vanessa and i were going to leave, when we went to hug the sec4s [possibly for the last time ever] i seriously couldnt hold it and my eyes started getting real watery. and then on the way out of school, we started crying. not the very vigorous and wailing kind, just, you know..


yupyup. anyway, i really like the earring, bowl, cards and notes, that cool wire thingy, sweets, etc. I LOVE YOU SEC4S! <3

right, today. not too bad a day on the whole. the chi paper wasnt at all that bad. haha. but, letter-writing, waddya expect? x) netball. quite fun today. played against other teams, 6 teams in total in our class. but we had like, zero rules. there was no time limit to holding the ball, dont even have out boundaries. haha. but still quite fun, tiring no doubt. AND my team beat all the teams we played against. yay (((:


hmm. next-guides. after school today, we were like in a mad rush. had to run back to class to put on our uniform. and SOME people didnt know how to put on all their uniform parts and all, and kept coming to ask me. haha. make sure you guys know it the next time ok! anyway, we were late for guides. but then again, when we arrived, everyone was still hanging around, havent fall in yet. haha.


so. today was enrolment and striping. VERY VERY important ceremonies. well, let me give u a brief overview on what they are. enrolment: recruits [like me, yes, im not considered a guide yet] who passed all their enrolment clauses will be enrolled. it is a once-in-a-lifetime event ok! yup. and we'll get our trefoils and we're officially guides. striping: current post-holders will pass on their post to the new post-holders. i.e. the sec4s are stepping down. )):


right. so after falling in, we practiced abit at the void deck. but there was too little space so we went to the netball courts. and now we did the real thing. we did all the usual routine marching and formation stuff, enrolment was first by the way. shall not attempt to describe the details of waiting, marching, etc etc. yup. when it was my turn to go up and do the stuff, i kinda got a little nervous and i guess we all screwed. haha. including my PL. =/ about 30+mins in all bahh..


then after that, we had a short short break. and then it was striping. this was a little longer. almost 1hr. yup. i dont really know what to think of the new post-holders since they're all my seniors and i dont really know them at all yet. yupyup. i almost cried when weiting went to stripe yenlin, who was my new PL. ahwells. oh and zann, sec2 in my patrol, became 3rd COY quarter-mistress. haha grats! my patrol's the best mann. no one got transferred in or out and we're all happy :D


and tomorrow's really gonna be the last time the sec4s are gonna come together with us as part of the guides movement. i think it's gonna be really sad.. i cant bear to see weiting and jasmine go, but still.. i'll still see them around in school bahh ((: STAY HAPPY YOU GUYS! yupyup. tomorrow's urban hike should be fun! cya~

hey. finally. back to the computer. guess what, my house has THREE computers, and 2 of them broke down. i cant use my father's cos it's for his work = not-to-be-touched. my mum's laptop just got fixed, that's why i can use it. but now i cant download anything onto it, in case something happens again. haha.


hmm. let's see. yesterday, nothing much to talk about bahh. today. oh yes oh yes. mrs mo's temper flare. basically, she was going through a worksheet happily, getting people to write the answers on the board. when she discovered that a certain someone didnt do her worksheet, and she went around the class and finding out that alot of people didnt do. so she got really really angry, and threw her temper. err, scary. shall not attempt to describe. bleah.

hmm. oh oh. i just found out what urban hike is. basically it's this guides thing this saturday, i think it's only once a year. yup. so, we cannot wear any school clothes that will identify us as "Raffles Guides" and so we get to wear our own clothes. haha. then we HIKE around singapore, doing god-knows-what in a new patrol/group. sounds quite fun? YAA. oh and the batchmates in my patrol are KIM and MI-IN. haha. yayness.

the booklet on the whole wasnt that bad, at least in my opinion. the future scene didnt suck much. but i think we slacked too much and left too little time for the action plan. i was like the only one doing it can, and i had to finish the entire thing within less than 15mins. anyway, yup, so i did my best. but time was up when there was just one more component left to finish - possible obstacles n challenges. but ahwells...


haha. i didnt know collin was in fpsp! anyway, we saw him there today and he said the booklet was easy. good for him then. the rest of the sec1 teams thought the booklet wasnt too bad too. yay((: ohoh. and i saw the pri sch tchrs, namely ms theng, mrs chiam, ms yeo n mrs ng. ((:

yup. so we left school at about 11.30 and here i am blogging. gonna watch pride and prejudice with my mum soon, borrowed from the school library. (: and i havent eaten my lunch either.. reached school. decided to change into my punjabi before assembly cos there was something like at least half the class must be in traditional costumes or we'll be disqualified from the judging at the end of the day. so yup. assembly-intro of the people running for house captains/vice-captains. some of them quite interesting lurh..


after that, we all went back to class. i changed. wore pe shirts with the top instead of the pants. twas sweltering hot and the pants is quite heavy. yup. went to 410 for class activity. at that time, we werent exactly sure what it was. haha. then we had to move to 210 instead. and we were supposed to make ketupats. let me tell you, it was a horrible failure. not a single one from our class was made. haha. how cool is that. the KETUPAT FAILURES CLUB (KFC) - sherry.


then after that, we headed to the netball courts for games-chinese hopscotch. it's quite fun actually and thank god i was wearing pe shorts or i'd probably die of heat and not be able to jump at all! heh. anyway, it's basically a square with 9 squares in it. u have to jump in sequence forwards and backwards. yup. not too bad.


um. then recess. for 30mins. ate malt candy and drank milo. actually i wanted to eat that thai dessert, the mango with glutinous rice. saw it at the koi pond, but then i found out later that it was only for tasting and each one was only entitled to one spoon. oh the sorrow. haha. and i waited with ruth while she queued for a UBERRRRRRRRRRRRRR long time for her kueh tutu. and mrs mo was behind her. haha. i was a total wreck with the malt candy mind you. x)


went back to class before time. took some pictures. not alot actually. no one to take with, and there was very very limited memory space. about 6-7 pictures? bleah. then we headed to blk j level 1. visit all the "rooms" and learn more about the cultures. haha. didnt really do much. went to the malay one, saw a bit of stuff. and i found out it was free and easy so i went around with sarah n cheryl.


and they wanted to do lion dance so i went off to find sherry, in the indian room i think. haha. dragged her to the phillipines room. they were doing henna painting. and i spent the rest of the time in there. (we were given 1hr to explore. O.o) they were doing the designs for 4-5bucks. and if u wanted to write words it was 20cents per letter. and u could do it yourself for free.


hung around in there saying hi and boo-ing people. haha. and asking for opinions on what to write on my hand. in the end i did a smiley, and a sudden "brainwave" and i wrote something on it. haha. quite cool. pictures coming soon. (:


after that, we had food appreciation for one hour. O.O i wanted to eat those japanese balls. but the queue was uber long. saw emily and asked her to get one for me. then jingjie came along and "joined the queue". haha. still took a really really long time though. but the food wasnt too bad. hmm.


by the time i finished eating, it was like about 11.55 and i had to rush back to class to change into my pants for the concert. they were gonna be judging. bleah. came and went in a mad rush. reached the hall ALMOST just in time. haha.


the concert wasnt too bad bahh. dance performances by the sec3 classes, they were having a competition. and then some fashion thingy wear the fashion cluster people wore traditional costumes. haha. OHOH. i like the egyptian costume! very very cool. and the teachers also

ya anyway, my computer. seriously sucks. like, when u go to the page with the user accounts, i click on mine, and the entire thing restarts. and not just once. nope. ALOT. yesterday, i had to do it about 8 times. =.= then my mum came and did something, and pulled out the plug for the keyboard accidentally. well simple, plug it back in. only it didnt work. and my dad said to restart the computer. and guess wad, it restarted countless times. again. and the keyboard still wasnt working. now it's connected to this really horrible, difficult-to-type cd. BLEAH. hence, my mum has allowed me to use her laptop for now.


right. umm. aesthetics yesterday. twas quite fun actually. i think computer music is fun, get to anyhow twang the keyboards. n i like the sci-fic sounds. haha. and that song by that 11yr old girl was really good. but i think i prefer the other one more. where we really get to play the keyboard. undescribably fun. yup. i love it. next week's gonna be better. right. fpsp. we had our first official training on saturday. it's quite cool actually. not just the entire process, but the measures they have taken to better prepare us for the qualifying rounds on 21 JULY!!!!!! right. and tomorrow is resource day, where they invite speakers to come and talk to us about the topic [cultural prejudice]. so lots of research, preparation. and just JIAYOUUS <3

our new timetable. well, they extended wednesdays and fridays to 2 oclock so that they can squeeze in another block for a common test block. right. and it's supposed to start this week, but we dont have any SAs until week 5 so i really donno.

went for detention today. dont ask. i actually thought it was quite boring, where u got to stone and all even though we needed to write an essay. but no. we had to answer 11 questions, and for you to estimate the length, mine took 2pieces of foolscap and i did it in about 40mins..? right. so that's class dc. oh. and i got to pon jap, and so im taking my jap test on thursday instead. heard it's a killer. -dead-

history pt. well for the pt prep i did on clarke quay. i think i shall continue, but i may change still. im so not gonna start researching until umm.. thursday? right. so busy now lurh!!!!! and im still busy chionging fpsp. haiy.

hey. today was actually quite a fun day, tiring no doubt, but fun. yaa. on the way to school, at orchard, i suddenly remembered that i forgot to bring my entire homework file. smart me. thank god it's a slack day today with not much need for the stuff in my file. apart from aesthetics, there was english and rs. (:

mmhmm. aesthetics. i finished up the semicircles on my treasure chest, connected the chest itself to the circuit and the motor, and went to colour my chest. instinctively, i started painting it with acryllic, and i was at a loss of what colours to use. anyhow, i went to ask mr asman(?) and he said i could use spray paint. right.

sho. i decided on the colours. the entire box orange, gold lid with grey sides (lid only) mmhmm. what an amazing mess. x) then elaine came to join me cos she was spray-painting her car parts. her hilariously hilarious. due to VERY unsatisfactory results, we got thinner. zomg, i love it. it's soooo wonderful. haha. so when i was done with my treasure chest, more or less, i put it in the sun to dry. it GLEAMED x).

and naturally we spent alot of time "vandalising" the cubicles. haha. and elaine's car suffered ALOT but it turned pretty good in the end (: yays. and for guides, gawd, it was tiring. all the ceremonies. yah. anyway. geog mugging to do. cya~

hey. racial harmony day. it wasnt exactly boring as i expected it to be. haha. yup well, here's what happened today (:


reached school. decided to change into my punjabi before assembly cos there was something like at least half the class must be in traditional costumes or we'll be disqualified from the judging at the end of the day. so yup. assembly-intro of the people running for house captains/vice-captains. some of them quite interesting lurh..


after that, we all went back to class. i changed. wore pe shirts with the top instead of the pants. twas sweltering hot and the pants is quite heavy. yup. went to 410 for class activity. at that time, we werent exactly sure what it was. haha. then we had to move to 210 instead. and we were supposed to make ketupats. let me tell you, it was a horrible failure. not a single one from our class was made. haha. how cool is that. the KETUPAT FAILURES CLUB (KFC) - sherry.


then after that, we headed to the netball courts for games-chinese hopscotch. it's quite fun actually and thank god i was wearing pe shorts or i'd probably die of heat and not be able to jump at all! heh. anyway, it's basically a square with 9 squares in it. u have to jump in sequence forwards and backwards. yup. not too bad.


um. then recess. for 30mins. ate malt candy and drank milo. actually i wanted to eat that thai dessert, the mango with glutinous rice. saw it at the koi pond, but then i found out later that it was only for tasting and each one was only entitled to one spoon. oh the sorrow. haha. and i waited with ruth while she queued for a UBERRRRRRRRRRRRRR long time for her kueh tutu. and mrs mo was behind her. haha. i was a total wreck with the malt candy mind you. x)


went back to class before time. took some pictures. not alot actually. no one to take with, and there was very very limited memory space. about 6-7 pictures? bleah. then we headed to blk j level 1. visit all the "rooms" and learn more about the cultures. haha. didnt really do much. went to the malay one, saw a bit of stuff. and i found out it was free and easy so i went around with sarah n cheryl.


and they wanted to do lion dance so i went off to find sherry, in the indian room i think. haha. dragged her to the phillipines room. they were doing henna painting. and i spent the rest of the time in there. (we were given 1hr to explore. O.o) they were doing the designs for 4-5bucks. and if u wanted to write words it was 20cents per letter. and u could do it yourself for free.


hung around in there saying hi and boo-ing people. haha. and asking for opinions on what to write on my hand. in the end i did a smiley, and a sudden "brainwave" and i wrote something on it. haha. quite cool. pictures coming soon. (:


after that, we had food appreciation for one hour. O.O i wanted to eat those japanese balls. but the queue was uber long. saw emily and asked her to get one for me. then jingjie came along and "joined the queue". haha. still took a really really long time though. but the food wasnt too bad. hmm.


by the time i finished eating, it was like about 11.55 and i had to rush back to class to change into my pants for the concert. they were gonna be judging. bleah. came and went in a mad rush. reached the hall ALMOST just in time. haha.


the concert wasnt too bad bahh. dance performances by the sec3 classes, they were having a competition. and then some fashion thingy wear the fashion cluster people wore traditional costumes. haha. OHOH. i like the egyptian costume! very very cool. and the teachers also


model-ed as wedding couples in the various costumes. quite ahem interesting. x)
yup. that's about it. gonna upload the pictures now, some of them are wee bit blur though. >< oh and my mum came to fetch me and we went to eat fish n co. haha. yupyup. wish me luck for fpsp tomorrow! get to see ms theng, mrs chiam, ms yeo, and god knows who else. (:

well, today wasnt exactly the best of days. flunked fpsp. big time. no elaboration. ended up feeling real sluggish. missed 190. had to wait another.. 15-20mins for the next one to come. and my ear has this weird "pimple" (O.o that's wad my mum says it is) and it hurts real bad sometimes. and it oozes pus too. OUCH. bleah.


ya anyway, my computer. seriously sucks. like, when u go to the page with the user accounts, i click on mine, and the entire thing restarts. and not just once. nope. ALOT. yesterday, i had to do it about 8 times. =.= then my mum came and did something, and pulled out the plug for the keyboard accidentally. well simple, plug it back in. only it didnt work. and my dad said to restart the computer. and guess wad, it restarted countless times. again. and the keyboard still wasnt working. now it's connected to this really horrible, difficult-to-type cd. BLEAH. hence, my mum has allowed me to use her laptop for now.


right. umm. aesthetics yesterday. twas quite fun actually. i think computer music is fun, get to anyhow twang the keyboards. n i like the sci-fic sounds. haha. and that song by that 11yr old girl was really good. but i think i prefer the other one more. where we really get to play the keyboard. undescribably fun. yup. i love it. next week's gonna be better. (:

yawells. shall stop here. feeling real real moody. ok maybe not so. on a side note, my dad's away in indonesia golfing and wont be back until tomorrow afternoon. and my mum's coming to fetch me tomorrow n bring us (me and my bro) for lunch. haha. ciao.

right. fpsp. we had our first official training on saturday. it's quite cool actually. not just the entire process, but the measures they have taken to better prepare us for the qualifying rounds on 21 JULY!!!!!! right. and tomorrow is resource day, where they invite speakers to come and talk to us about the topic [cultural prejudice]. so lots of research, preparation. and just JIAYOUUS <3

our new timetable. well, they extended wednesdays and fridays to 2 oclock so that they can squeeze in another block for a common test block. right. and it's supposed to start this week, but we dont have any SAs until week 5 so i really donno.

went for detention today. dont ask. i actually thought it was quite boring, where u got to stone and all even though we needed to write an essay. but no. we had to answer 11 questions, and for you to estimate the length, mine took 2pieces of foolscap and i did it in about 40mins..? right. so that's class dc. oh. and i got to pon jap, and so im taking my jap test on thursday instead. heard it's a killer. -dead-

history pt. well for the pt prep i did on clarke quay. i think i shall continue, but i may change still. im so not gonna start researching until umm.. thursday? right. so busy now lurh!!!!! and im still busy chionging fpsp. haiy.

well i decided to talk about this in the end. tomorrow's aesthetics. i really want to finish my entire toy by tomorrow. i think i'll be able to accomplish it, with a LITTLE time control. oh yes. tomorrow's the last lesson. next module will be dance n music. i have no idea which is more fun. but i kinda miss needlework. d n t is fun, ya, but can be quite hot and stuffy after 3hrs in a workroom u know..

hey. today was actually quite a fun day, tiring no doubt, but fun. yaa. on the way to school, at orchard, i suddenly remembered that i forgot to bring my entire homework file. smart me. thank god it's a slack day today with not much need for the stuff in my file. apart from aesthetics, there was english and rs. (:

mmhmm. aesthetics. i finished up the semicircles on my treasure chest, connected the chest itself to the circuit and the motor, and went to colour my chest. instinctively, i started painting it with acryllic, and i was at a loss of what colours to use. anyhow, i went to ask mr asman(?) and he said i could use spray paint. right.

sho. i decided on the colours. the entire box orange, gold lid with grey sides (lid only) mmhmm. what an amazing mess. x) then elaine came to join me cos she was spray-painting her car parts. her hilariously hilarious. due to VERY unsatisfactory results, we got thinner. zomg, i love it. it's soooo wonderful. haha. so when i was done with my treasure chest, more or less, i put it in the sun to dry. it GLEAMED x).

and naturally we spent alot of time "vandalising" the cubicles. haha. and elaine's car suffered ALOT but it turned pretty good in the end (: yays. and for guides, gawd, it was tiring. all the ceremonies. yah. anyway. geog mugging to do. cya~

actually i had alot alot of things to do this weekend+holiday. but guess what, oh-so-very-efficient-me did all of them already. so that i wont need to chiong it tomorrow when im very very busy. i had to read through physics and algebra, and of course, REVISE FOR GEOG. yes well, i've finished all that already. and i realised rivers isnt really that hard after all. x)

um. OH OH. my bro n cuz have to go for this bilingual speech and drama course every sunday at NAFA. x) but i guess it should be quite fun bahh. i think so, since my bro was positively happy after coming back today [which was the first lesson] yup. that's all for now. cya. (:
